BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Jeff Quinn's rebuilding project at UB got a big thumbs-up Wednesday, with the Bulls' football coach agreeing to a contract extension that will keep him in place through the 2017 season.

The Bulls have picked up three straight wins to improve to 4-7 on the season - the most wins in Quinn's three years at the helm.

“Jeff and his staff have poured their hearts and souls into building this program, and we are both excited and optimistic about our future under their leadership,” Athletic Director Danny White said in a press release.  “To be sure, we feel that the foundation is in place to have a breakout season in 2013.”

UB has played most of this season without injured star tailback Bo Oliver, and will return the majority of this year's starters next season.

The Bulls wrap up the 2012 campaign this Friday with a road game against Bowling Green.
