ISLE OF WIGHT COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) - A robber's plans were foiled when a clerk wrenched a shotgun out of his hands at a Virginia store.
The attempted robbery occurred at the Rushmere Food Mart in Isle of Wight County, Va. according to information from Isle of Wight County spokeswoman Kristin Wilda.
An unknown suspect entered the store with the shotgun raised, pointed it at one clerk just inside the door before pointing it at another behind the register. Moments later, the shotgun was grabbed by the first clerk who was able to gain control of the weapon after a short struggle.
The suspect ran off and the entire ordeal was captured on the store's surveillance.
