BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - An admitted cross burner faced sentencing Wednesday in StateSupreme Court. 41 year old Donald Napierala placed the burningcross in the front yard of a mixed race couple in South Buffalo inJuly of 2008.
He admitted to reckless behavior and aggravated harassment.Justice William Boller sentenced Napierala to three and a half toseven years in prison.
"I would just like to apologize to everybody that I offendedby this, and especially to Kelly Kohr and her kids. They didn'tdeserve any of this and they had nothing to do with it and I'm verysorry," said Defendant Donald Napierala.
Napierala's mother said he suffers from bipolar disorder.
