BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - We may be just weeks away from the opening of the splash pad at Buffalo's MLK Park.
The pad has been closed for repairs all summer. As we told you last month, the contractor, "Man O Trees," has missed one deadline after another. Community activist Sam Herbert says he's told the contractor he must have the work completed by August 25th, when the community will hold its own opening ceremony.
"I say to the community: We've waited this long, we want it, right? They have a date, and we need to hold them to that date."
We reached out to Man O Trees Tuesday night, but we could not reach owner David Pfieffer for comment.
