BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - People came out in force to help find a cure for a debilitating disease.
The Buffalo Walk to Defeat ALS took place in Delaware Park Saturday. ALS is a progressive neuromuscular disease that impacts a sufferers ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. Many of those who took part in the event have a personal connection to the disease.
Several members of the News 4 family were at the event to support a former colleague, Brian Beyer, who is battling ALS.
Last year's walk raised over $109,000.
