BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - The Response to Love Center has served buffalo over the last 27 years. Now the City of Good Neighbors is giving back.
The facility needs some big repairs and generous western New Yorkers are footing the bill. The east side center has raised $79,000 in donations.
Crews are working on a concrete platform for a new boiler that will be installed next week. The money will also be used for inspections and asbestos abatement. The chimney also needs some repairs and more donations could be needed.
The center continues to help the less fortunate. The facility is using portable heaters until the boiler is installed.
