BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - It won't be long before Buffalo's waterfront is bustling with summer events. One popular attraction is already set for the season.
The Buffalo and Erie County Naval and Military Park will open for its 35th season on Saturday. The largest ship in the park's collection is the U.S.S. Little Rock. It's a 610-food guided missile cruiser and it has become a popular spot to host events on the waterfront.
The park will be open daily now from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. through October.
Last year, 58,000 people visited the park, marking one of its most successful years ever.
