BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Security at Canisius College is warning students to use caution after two students were mugged early Saturday morning.
Police say a woman was mugged at Oakgrove and Blaine. The suspect displayed a handgun and used it to pistol whip the victim when she screamed. The suspect then fled.
A male student was mugged at Humboldt and Eastwood at 3:40 a.m. In that instance, the suspect also displayed a handgun, and took an iPhone 5 from the victim.
Authorities believe the same suspect is responsible for both muggings. He is described as a 6' tall black man with no facial hair who was wearing a hoodie.
Buffalo Police are investigating.
