CLARENCE, N.Y. (WIVB) - Twenty-one underage drinkers were arrested just after midnight on Saturday at a house party on Clarence Center Road in Clarence.
Deputies were called when a neighbor complained things were getting out of hand, and that someone had thrown a rock through a window. The Erie County Sheriff's Office says when they arrived, they found many intoxicated youths in a garage, but when they went to enter the home, the underage drinkers inside locked them out.
Deputies say they saw many youths fighting inside the house before they were able to get inside and place them all under arrest. All are facing charges of underage possession of alcohol. One youth was charged with harassment and another disorderly conduct for fighting. And one youth was charged with attempted assault for slamming a door on a deputy, which caused another window to break.
None of their names are being released.
The sheriff's office had all of the vehicles at the scene towed to prevent any of the youths from driving home. The extensive damage done to the home was photographed, and parents were called to pick up the youths.
The party remains under investigation.
