REDHOUSE, N.Y. (WIVB) - Deputies say an alleged drunk driver had seven passengers in her vehicle when she was involved in an accident. The Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office says 36-year-old Juanita M. Rivera’s vehicle crashed in the Town of Redhouse, and Rivera left the scene.
Rivera was allegedly drunk with three children in her vehicle, ages six, seven and nine. Deputies say there were also four other passengers in the vehicle.
Rivera was charged with felony aggravated DWI- child in the vehicle, DWI, leaving the scene of a property damage accident, no seat belt passenger age 4-7, no seat belt passenger 8-15 and three counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
Rivera was arraigned on the charges and jailed in lieu of $5,000.
