AMHERST, N.Y. (WIVB) - A North Tonawanda man has been arrested after an alleged bottle-throwing road rage incident on the I-290 in Amherst.
State Police were called on March 29 around 3:15 p.m. A man called troopers to complain that a driver in a black Ford Mustang had tailgated his vehicle on the I-290 and then, when the driver in the Mustang sped past his vehicle, the driver threw a Gatorade bottle, causing a dent.
The victim followed the Mustang driver into the Town of Tonawanda. Once there, the driver of the Mustang flagged down a police officer. Both vehicles were stopped, but when the victim got out of his vehicle to speak to the police officer, the driver of the Mustang drove off.
The police officer had written down the Mustang's plate number and troopers caught up to the driver on a few days later.
