BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - A Buffalo attorney who's held a variety of public positions while maintaining a private practice now admits she lied on tax returns in 2005, 2006 and 2007.
On Friday, Lisa Yaeger pleaded guilty to three misdemeanor charges of submitting false documents to the IRS. Prosecutors say the 49-year-old failed to report the substantial income she received from her private practice, costing the government more than $22,000.
She will be sentenced in February and could face up to one year in prison, a fine of $100,000, or both.
