MACHIAS, N.Y. (WIVB) - An Elma man with a prior DWI conviction was again arrested for driving drunk following a citizen's complaint.
State Police were called to Maple Avenue in the Town of Machias around 5:30 p.m. on Sunday after a citizen told troopers a driver had almost struck two other vehicles. Authorities located the driver, 54-year-old Charles Olday, Jr., and placed him under arrest for felony DWI.
Olday has a prior DWI conviction. In this incident, troopers say his BAC was .17 percent, more than twice the legal limit.
He was taken to the Cattaraugus County Jail in lieu of bail.
