BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Authorities have now named the two women they say robbed a pharmacy then fled in a taxi cab.
Police say the pair are sisters and staged a hostage situation during the pharmacy robbery around 5:30 p.m. Monday near the Buffalo-West Seneca border on Clinton Street before fleeing in a stolen taxi cab. When the suspects fled, West Seneca Police pursued. The crash ended when the cab hit a home at South Division and Jefferson Avenue. A West Seneca Police car then rear-ended the cab.
The two women, 22-year-old Crystal Clark and 24-year-old Heather Brown, are both charged with robbery, criminal possession of stolen property, reckless endangerment, criminal possession of a weapon, fleeing an officer, and other vehicle and traffic charges.
Authorities say they recovered a shotgun believed to be used during the robbery and narcotics stolen from the pharmacy.
