SARDINIA, N.Y. (WIVB) - A complaint about a customer early Sunday morning led Erie County Sheriff's deputies to arrest a Delevan man on drug and alcohol charges.
Authorities were called to an unnamed establishment on Olean Road in the Town of Sardinia around 4:30 a.m. on Sunday to deal with a troubled customer. By the time deputies arrived, the customer had left, but they caught up to 28-year-old Codey Tingue a short time later on Savage Road.
Tingue, who has a previous DWI and a revoked driver's license, was allegedly intoxicated. He refused further testing, but was charged with felony DWI and felony aggravated unlicensed operation.
While searching him as he was being arrested, deputies say they found 11 grams of cocaine and 2.7 grams of marijuana on Tingue. He was additionally charged with fourth degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana.
Tingue was taken to the Erie County Holding Center pending arraignment.
