WEST SENECA, N.Y. (WIVB) - Three vehicles were involved in a crash that resulted in two drug arrests Thursday on I-90 East in West Seneca. New York State Police say three people were injured in the crash.
Police say driver 36-year-old Bryan P. Mackinnon and 27-year-old Patrick D. Slisz, both of Blasdell, were traveling in a vehicle together around 10 p.m. when their car rear ended a Jeep. The Jeep then pushed into the back of a tractor trailer.
Jeep driver 38-year-old Robert Frost suffered internal injuries and was taken to Erie County Medical Center. Slisz was also taken to ECMC, he suffered a lacerated spleen. Mackinnon was also treated at ECMC, for unknown non-life threatening injuries.
Tractor trailer driver 27-year-old Samuel Fixico was not injured in the crash.
Police say they found 31.9 grams of marijuana in Mackinnon’s vehicle. He was charged with felony second-degree vehicular assault, criminal possession of marijuana, driving while ability impaired by drugs, following too closely and unsafe speed in a work zone.
Slisz was charged with misdemeanor fifth-degree criminal possession of marijuana. They are both due in Town of West Seneca Court on September 20th.
