BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Buffalo Police have arrested a 79-year-old man they say stole a golf cart belonging to the National Guard and hit a 41-year-old woman.
Police say it happened at Canalside Wednesday afternoon around 3:30 p.m. as Navy Week activities were taking place. The Depew man took off in the golf cart and hit the woman, who was taken to ECMC with non-life threatening injuries.
Police arrested the elderly man and charged him with unauthorized use of a vehicle. Authorities have not released his name, or the name of the woman he struck.
The victim is still receiving treatment at ECMC for her injuries.
Buffalo Police have arrested 26-year-old Nicholas Finnegan, of South Buffalo, in connection to the November death of Russ Ross.
