ELMA, N.Y. (WIVB) - An Elma man was taken into custody after deputies executed a search warrant at his Seneca Street home Friday afternoon.
The Erie County Sheriff's Office began investigating Michael Carney after he allegedly sold morphine pills to an undercover deputy. After obtaining a search warrant, the sheriff's office searched the 29-year-old's home and vehicle, locating fentanyl patches.
Carney has been charged with two counts of criminal sale of narcotic drugs and two counts of criminal possession of narcotic drugs with intent to sell. A loaded .22 caliber rifle was confiscated from his home.
He was taken to the Erie County Holding Center pending arraignment and authorities say additional charges are pending.
