TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WIVB) - A fight between two high school boys left a school resource officer with injuries after he stepped into the fray.
Detective Tim Toth was at Tonawanda High School Wednesday morning when shortly before noon, a fight broke out between a 16-year-old boy and a 17-year-old boy. While trying to stop the students from fighting, Toth's left leg was injured.
Both students are now facing charges of disorderly conduct, reckless endangerment, obstruction of justice and harassment.
Detective Toth was taken to the hospital. He tells News 4 he was treated and released and is at home resting. He will be seeing an orthopaedic doctor for a knee injury.
