MEDINA, N.Y. (WIVB) - A Medina firefighter is facing more charges after investigators say they found further evidence of child sexual abuse on his cellphone.
On Monday, Jeffery Elsenheimer, Jr. was arrested and charged with criminal sexual act and endangering the welfare of a child. The charges mean he allegedly had oral or anal sexual contact with the minor.
Two days later, the 31-year-old was taken back into custody and additionally charged with three counts of promoting a sexual performance of a child, three counts of possessing a sexual performance by a child, and one count of official misconduct. The new charges stem from what Orleans County Sheriff's investigators say they found on the firefighter's cellphone.
Elsenheimer had been free on $10,000 bail. After being re-arrested, he was taken to Orleans County Jail on $25,000 bail.
Authorities say their investigation continues and that further charges are pending against Elsenheimer.
