WARSAW, NY (WIVB) - On March 28, 2012 New York State Police in Warsaw arrested Sadie Vrooman, 19, of Portageville, NY for Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument in the 2nd degree, a Class D Felony, Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the 5th degree, a Class A misdemeanor and Criminal Impersonation in the 2nd degree, a Class A misdemeanor.
These charges stem from an ongoing investigation relative to a stolen, and then later forged check which was presented for payment at the Bank of Castile in Castile, NY back in February of 2012.
Troopers credit multiple citizen tips, which were received after bank surveillance photos were circulated by local media , as helping to solve this case.
Vrooman was arraigned on the charges before the Castile Town Justice and she was later released to the Wyoming County pre-trial release program which is administered by the Wyoming County Probation Department.
She will return to court at a later date to further answer the charges.
