BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - While trying to locate a man wanted on a warrant for multiple charges, State Police say they found a marijuana growing operation in his home.
Kevin Stebbins, 23, of Buffalo was wanted on a warrant for DWI, aggravated unlicensed operation, marijuana possession and several traffic violations. Troopers went to his home on Metcalf Street on Monday and executed a warrant. Though Stebbins wasn't there, State Police say they found a marijuana growing operation in his home, including seven plants, lighting, ventilation and an irrigation system.
Authorities were able to make contact with Stebbins, who was out of state. Stebbins agreed to turn himself in after speaking with his attorney, and came to State Police headquarters on Wednesday.
Stebbins has been additionally charged with fourth degree criminal possession of marijuana and unlawful growing of marijuana.
He was released on an appearance ticket after his attorney cleared up the warrant.
