LEROY, N.Y. (WIVB) - Two people were arrested, and one person was taken to the hospital after they were stabbed early Saturday morning.
The incident happened in the Village of LeRoy around 2 a.m. Nicole M. DellaPenna, 27, and her 24-year-old relative Edward D. McDonald got into a verbal altercation with others.
Police say, McDonald allegedly hit the window of a person's vehicle. DellaPenna became involved when she allegedly pulled out a knife and began threatening others. The woman allegedly stabbed a victim in the back near the shoulder blade.
The victim was taken to a hospital for a potentially serious, but not life threatening stab wound.
McDonald was charged with one count of the Misdemeanor of Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree and issued an Appearance ticket to answer the charge at a later date.
DellaPenna was charged with one count each of Felony Assault in the Second degree and Misdemeanor Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Fourth Degree.
DellaPenna was arraigned and committed to the Genesee County Jail in Lieu of $15,000 bail.
