KENMORE, N.Y. (WIVB) - Kenmore Police have arrested Antonio Martin-Brown, 19, and charged him with murder in connection to the death of the owner of Malone's Bar and Grill, Vincent Cottone.
Martin-Brown has been charged with second degree murder after turning himself into police on Friday. Cottone was found murdered in his home on May 19th.
The 62-year-old's body was found over by an employee who became concerned when Cottone didn't show up for a meeting.
Cottone died from blunt force trauma and had his throat slashed. Authorities say robbery did not appear to be a factor. Police have not released what they believe is a motive in the murder, but say Martin-Brown and Cottone did know one another.
Kenmore Police Chief Peter Breitnauer said, "I don't know what caused it and I'm not going to speculate on it. There was evidently an argument or some kind of confrontation between the two people."
Martin-Brown has pleaded not guilty and is being held without bail in the Erie County Holding Center. He is due back in court next week.
