BATAVIA, N.Y. (WIVB) - A Batavia man admitted Thursday he assaulted a baby.
Randy Johnson, 24, took a plea deal and faces up to seven years in prison. Police arrested him after an 8-month-old baby was treated for seizures that were believed to be the result of brain injuries.
Johnson says he previously became frustrated by the baby's crying and pulled the infant away from his crib, but did not mean to hurt the baby. Doctor say the baby did not suffer permanent injuries.
There's no word on Johnson's relationship with the baby.
