SALAMANCA, N.Y. (WIVB) - Deputies arrested a Salamanca man they say punched his girlfriend in the face several times and then prevented her from calling for help.
Joshua Koleta was arrested Monday around 2 a.m. at a home on Rt. 353 in the Town of Salamanca. The Cattaraugus County Sheriff's Office says the 20-year-old attacked his girlfriend and then took her cell phone so she couldn't call 911.
Koleta is charged with third degree assault, second degree reckless endangerment, petit larceny and fourth degree criminal mischief.
After being arraigned, he was taken to the county jail on $1,000 bail.
