GRAND ISLAND, N.Y. (WIVB) - A level three sex offender is facing new charges after an incident at a restaurant on Grand Island, where he allegedly propositioned women by offering them money in exchange for sex.
The Erie County Sheriff's Office says they were called to a restaurant at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, because of a man who was propositioning female employees by offering them money for sex. While deputies traveled to the scene, a second complaint was made that he was now soliciting females in the parking lot of the restaurant.
At the scene, police arrested 52-year-old David Tirko. Tirko has a previous sexual abuse conviction involving a female victim. The sheriff's office says that while Tirko was being processed at the station, he continually offered large financial bribes to deputies in exchange for releasing him.
Tirko was charged with fifth-degree criminal solicitation, misdemeanor loitering for the purpose of engaging in prostitution and second-degree bribery involving public servants.
