RIPLEY, N.Y. (WIVB) - After catching up to a motorist who fell asleep in a driveway, deputies charged him with aggravated DWI.
On Saturday around 9:15 p.m., the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office was called to Rt. 20 in the Town of Ripley on reports of a man sleeping behind the wheel of a vehicle in a driveway that was not his own. Deputies on the way to the scene learned the driver had woken up and left the area, but caught up to the vehicle matching the description a short time later.
Bryan Gregory of Erie, PA was arrested and charged with aggravated DWI. Authorities say the 28-year-old refused to take a breath test.
He's due back in court at a later date.
