LILY DALE, N.Y. (WIVB) - A man who sexually abused a child under the age of 11 for more than three months will spend the next 20 years in state prison.
David Goodworth of Lily Dale was sentenced Monday for first degree course of sexual conduct against a child.
District Attorney David Foley said, "I am glad to see that the new sentencing guidelines for sex offenders which was passed in 2007 is finally taking effect and we're seeing an increase in the length of prison terms."
Foley warns sex offenders that they can expect to receive significant jail time for similar crimes.
When the 54-year-old is released from prison, he will have 10 years post release supervision.
