WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. (WIVB) - Deputies have arrested an Amherst man suspected of doing drugs in the JC Penney parking lot at the Eastern Hills Mall.
Witnesses at the mall called 911 on Tuesday around noon when they saw suspicious behavior. The Erie County Sheriff's Office responded and deputies say they found 24-year-old Dallas Hicks in his car with suspected controlled substances, hypodermic needles and stolen credit cards. Authorities say Hicks gave them a fake name when they initially questioned him.
Hicks was arrest and charged with fourth degree grand larceny, criminal possession of stolen credit cards, criminal possession of a controlled substance, false personation, and criminal possession of a hypodermic instrument.
He was taken to the Erie County Holding Center pending arraignment.
