JAMESTOWN, NY (WIVB) - Jamestown police officers responded to a Hopkins Ave. address just after 3 a.m. this morning for a report of a person with a weapon.
Further investigation revealed that George Edington III was in possession of a pump action shotgun that he fired while on Hopkins Ave. prior to the officer's arrival.
It was also revealed that he used the pump action shotgun to menace three separate victims during an altercation.
Edington III was taken into custody without incident and transported to Jamestown City Jail. He was charged with three counts of menacing, criminal possession of a weapon, criminal use of a firearm and firing a firearm within city limits.
He is currently awaiting arraignment by Jamestown City Court.
