GAINESVILLE, N.Y. (WIVB) - A man with four prior DWI-related convictions is now facing his fifth charge of drinking while driving.
Deputies say they witnessed Matthew Woodruff, 46, of Silver Springs driving erratically on Rt. 19 and Broughton Road in the Town of Gainesville Sunday around 1:30 a.m. Woodruff refused to submit to a breath test, but a blood kit was drawn at the hospital after he was taken there for a medical condition.
Woodruff has two prior misdemeanor- and two prior felony-convictions for DWI-related offenses. He is now charged with felony DWI, failing to dim high beams, and driving to the left of pavement markings.
Woodruff is being held in the Wyoming County Jail without bail.
