NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WIVB) - A mother from Niagara Falls says she wants justice in the death of her son.
Janice Bradberry attended what she thought would be the sentencing for Matthew Davis on Monday. But it turns out Davis filed a motion to set aside the verdict, regarding the handling of the case. The sentencing is now scheduled for next month.
Davis was convicted of murder in the death of 41-year-old Antoine Bradberry during an attempted robbery and fight in 2011. The victim's mother believes the last-minute court motion was nothing more than a stall tactic.
Bradberry said, "It's just another ploy for the accused to stay at the country club. He will pay for what he's done."
Davis could receive 25-years to life behind bars.
