BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - One of the five people shot in MLK Park on Saturday while at a picnic shelter has died.
26-year-old Marquay Lee passed away Tuesday night, according to Buffalo Police. He had been in the hospital since being shot around 8:30 p.m. last Saturday by a gunman who also hit four others when he opened fire on a group of 50 to 60 people at picnic shelter #4 in the park.
News of his death broke just as a peace party organized by Rev. Darius Pridgen began in MLK Park at 4 p.m. on Wednesday.
