CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. (WIVB) - A Lancaster woman has been arrested by State Police on charges of cocaine and marijuana possession.
Troopers pulled 25-year-old Jessica Leyland over on Transit Road in the Town of Cheektowaga on Friday for a traffic violation. Authorities say both marijuana and cocaine were in plain view in the vehicle.
A search uncovered over an ounce of cocaine already wrapped for individual sale, along with less than 25 grams of marijuana, according to authorities.
Leyland was arrested and charged with two counts of third degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, second degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia and unlawful possession of marijuana.
After being arraigned, she was released on $1,000 bail. She's due back in court next week.
