PEMBROKE, N.Y. (WIVB) - Deputies charged a man after a crash in Genesee County that took down a utility pole and electrical wires.
Around 8:15 p.m. on Monday, the Genesee County Sheriff's Office was called to Akron Road in Pembroke where they found 45-year-old Rodney Dean had crashed, shearing the power pole and knocking wires to the ground. Dean was taken to Erie County Medical Center for lacerations, but deputies believe alcohol was a contributing factor in the accident.
Dean is charged with felony DWI, refusing to submit to a screening device, drinking alcohol in a motor vehicle and moving from lane unsafely.
