BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Buffalo Police are investigating a homicide after a man who was shot and drove himself to the hospital later died.
Authorities say officers were called to Sisters Hospital at 3:15 a.m. Thanksgiving morning after learning 24-year-old Richard James of Buffalo drove himself to the hospital in a red Dodge Magnum. James told hospital staff he had been shot and died a short time later.
Detectives say they believe James was shot Thursday morning in the vicinity of Jefferson and East Delavan Avenues.
Police are asking anyone with information to call the confidential tipline at 847-2255.
