BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Police were called to the scene of a shooting on Maryland Street near Efner on Buffalo's lower west side Saturday evening, shortly before 5 p.m.
A elderly man, 82 year old Ansumane Kanneh, was shot and was declared dead on the scene, the Maryner Homes complex.
Kanneh was a resident of the complex.
Chief of Detectives Dennis J. Richards said "it's likely that the victim was not the intended target" when he was struck by a stray bullet.
