WARSAW, N.Y. (WIVB) - A Warsaw woman was arrested after State Police say she left her three small children in a running vehicle for more than 15 minutes.
Troopers were called to Tops on Rt. 19 in the Town of Warsaw on May 4 on reports that three children, two the age of 2 and a third the age of 7, were sitting in a running car in the parking lot. Police say they found the children's mother, 30-year-old Deanna Lanni, inside the store and determined the children had been left unsupervised for more than 15 minutes.
Lanni was arrested and charged with one count of endangering the welfare of a child. She is due back in court at a later date.
Child Protective Services was notified and will conduct their own investigation.
