RIDGEWAY, N.Y. (WIVB) - Several police agencies have been involved in a search for a man who is wanted for reckless endangerment. Authorities in Orleans County are looking for 36-year-old Allen M. Young, who was approached by the Orleans County Major Felony Crime Task Force on December 13th.
Young was the subject of an investigation in a parking lot in Ridgeway, and when authorities approached him, he was able to get in his vehicle and flee the scene at a high rate of speed. When he left, he nearly struck two investigators.
Moments later, there was a 911 call reporting a crash of a vehicle in a home's front yard. When police got to the scene, authorities learned the suspect fled into a wooded area.
Young is wanted for two counts of first-degree reckless endangerment. He is a white male, 5'8" and 190 pounds.
