BUSTI, N.Y. (WIVB) - Three people were arrested after deputies raided two homes in Chautauqua County on Tuesday, seizing over half a million dollars worth of marijuana.
The raids were conducted early in the morning at 515 and 529 Busti-Sugar Grove Road in the Town of Busti. Search warrants had been issued based on information from the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force obtained during a two-month investigation.
Authorities say at 529 Busti-Sugar Grove Road, a quantity of marijuana and controlled substances were seized. It was at 519 Busti-Sugar Grove Road that authorities say they found 582 growing marijuana plants and a loaded shotgun. The marijuana is valued at over $500,000.
John Boardman, 31, Jennifer Grundstrom, 29, and Brad Strickland, 26, were all arrested. Boardman and Grundstrom are both charged with fifth degree criminal possession of marijuana and seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Boardman and Strickland are both charged with unlawfully growing marijuana and second degree criminal possession of marijuana.
