ERIE COUNTY, N.Y. (WIVB) - Erie County Sheriff's made two arrests Saturday night in Newstead and Holland.
The first arrest was made in the Town of Newstead following a one-car crash. Roberta Evans, 68, of Spencerport crashed her car into a ditch Saturday night around 7:40 p.m. It became apparent that Evans was intoxicated leading to her DWI arrest. A breath test revealed her BAC to be .16%-twice the legal limit.
The second incident happened in the Town of Holland after a deputy responded to a citizen complaint of a reckless driver who had struck a guard rail, and continued driving. The deputy located the vehicle on Olean Rd. as well as the driver identified as Domenica Moran, 32. An investigation revealed she was driving while impaired by drugs which she was arrested for.
Moran was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs and criminal possession of a controlled substance for amphetamines which were found in her car.
Both women were released on appearance tickets and are due to appear in court at a later date.
