SPRINGVILLE, N.Y. (WIVB) - Erie County Sheriff's arrested a 26-year-old man Friday night following a traffic stop in the Village of Springville.
The vehicle driven by Nicaiah Ausman was stopped on Elk St. after a deputy observed its headlights were out. He was also seen driving through a stop sign without stopping and unable to stay to on right side of the road.
After further questioning, Ausman was determined to be intoxicated leading to his arrest.
He was taken to the Erie County Sheriff's Springville substation where he refused to submit a chemical breath test.
Ausman was charged with felony DWI as he was previously convicted of DWI in 2009, felony aggravated unlicensed operation and other vehicle and traffic infractions.
Additionally, he was charged with criminal possession of a weapon after police found he had an illegal weapon on him.
