BLASDELL, N.Y. (WIVB) - Police surrounded a Blasdell home for nearly eight hours becausethere was a man with a loaded shotgun inside.
39 year old, Dale Kluczynski did not surrender with ease.
Negotiators from Hamburg's Emergency Response Team were calledto Lake Avenue in Blasdell around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday evening.
Police said Kluczynski got into a heated argument with his wifeand grabbed a gun.
Resident, Dino Bruscia spoke to the wife.
"She told me that her husband was drunk and that he's suicidalright now and he's got five dogs in there," he explained.
Throughout the night, the negotiator tried to convinceKluczynski to come outside.
And a few times officers thought he would give up.
At one point, Kluczynski walked out of the house and sat down onhis front porch.
He even put his hands up as if to say, I surrender.
But then, he changed his mind, turning to police before runningback inside.
In the end, officers escorted Kluczynski from his home, ending aseven hour standoff peacefully.
