MACHIAS, N.Y. (WIVB) - Troopers responding to complaints about a theft uncovered other overnight crimes, including another theft and two burglaries, and arrested the suspect.
On Tuesday, State Police were called to the area of Franklin Street in the Town of Machias. While investigating a larceny, troopers learned of two burglaries and a second theft that had taken place overnight.
While in the area, troopers spotted some of the stolen property in the back of a vehicle on Franklin Street. The vehicle's owner, Jarrett Richardson, was arrested.
He faces two counts of third degree burglary, two counts of petit larceny, and one count of fourth degree criminal mischief.
After being arraigned, Richardson was taken to the Cattaraugus County Jail on $1,000 bail.
