ALDEN, NY (WIVB) - Shortly before 3:00 a.m. Saturday Erie County Sheriff's deputies responded to a call of a man brandishing a gun after an altercation at a bar on Sandridge Road in the Town of Alden.
The suspect fled the scene but after a brief search deputies found 26 year-old Nicholas A. Sedita.
Sedita was taken into custody and an investigation revealed that the gun allegedly used was an Airsoft gun. Airsoft guns are replica firearms that shoot plastic pellets
Deputies reviewed security video and witness statements and then charged Sedita with menacing in the 2nd degree.
