DEPEW, N.Y. (WIVB) - Village of Depew Police are reminding residents to lock their vehicles at all times, even if their car is in a driveway. This message comes after a number of car break ins, and three vehicles being stolen from driveways.
Police say the vehicles stolen from driveways were unlocked, with the keys hidden inside the vehicles. Two of the vehicles have been recovered.
Police want to remind residents that keys need to be secured in the residence to avoid this problem. They are asking residents to report any activity during the overnight hours. Residents can call 683-1123 or 911.
Police say patrol has been increased in the area of the crimes.
Buffalo Police have arrested 26-year-old Nicholas Finnegan, of South Buffalo, in connection to the November death of Russ Ross.
