BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Deputies say a traffic stop led them to arrest a man who had several active warrants on drug charges.
The Erie County Sheriff's Office says deputies pulled over 50-year-old Danny Ellington of Buffalo on Broadway near Bailey Avenue Tuesday around 10:45 p.m. for a traffic violation. Authorities say Ellington has several warrants out for his arrest and deputies found suspected crack cocaine on him.
Ellington was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance. He was taken to the Erie County Holding Center and while being processed, deputies say they found counterfeit money in his possession. He is now facing additional charges.
Ellington is being held on $25,000 bail.
