BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Wegmans is recalling two of its organic juices after an unacceptable amount of patulin, a by-product of mold, was found.
Wegmans Food You Feel Good Organic Apple Juice and Organic Cranberry Juice Blend are being recalled, but only with specific expiration dates. Those are:
- Organic Apple Juice - 64 oz - UPC: 77890-20605-8 with Expiration Dates of 1/28/2014 through 3/19/2014
- Organic Cranberry Juice Blend - 64oz - UPC: 77890-26689-2 with an Expiration Date of 11/5/2013
The recall was issued after Wegmans supplier, Clement Pappas & Co, sent a notification to Wegmans.
Customers can dispose of the juice and bring the empty container back to the service desk for a full refund. Anyone with questions can call Wegmans Consumer Affairs, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., at 1-855-934-3663.
