AMHERST, N.Y. (WIVB) - A car crash in Amherst on Thursday split a utility pole in half.
John Rizzo sent in a ReportIt picture from the scene on Niagara Falls Boulevard. Police say a 78-year-old driver crossed into the opposite lane and struck another car, which then slammed into the pole.
No one was hurt.
The 78-year-old driver was ticketed for failure to yield. National Grid arrived to fix the broken pole.
